The Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project in Dubai South has announced the expansion of its “Airline Maintenance Units” facilities, aiming to assist airport operators, including private aviation ground handlers, by providing direct access to their clients.
With this expansion, the number of maintenance units has increased to 11, covering a total area of 76,000 square feet.
These units are designed to serve as a comprehensive solution center in the aviation sector, offering a wide range of services including storage and maintenance warehouses, specialized technical equipment, engineering support, and a world-class lounge area for pilots.
The facilities will also feature designated shaded parking, offices, and several additional amenities specifically tailored to meet the industry’s requirements, with construction scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026.
Mohammed Al Falasi, Deputy Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project, stated: “We have expanded our services to meet the increasing demand from companies for airline maintenance services. This development reflects our commitment to creating leading facilities and building an integrated system that meets our clients’ aspirations. We will continue our efforts to solidify Dubai’s position as a premier global aviation hub.”
It is noteworthy that the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project provides global aviation companies with investment opportunities, as it operates as a free zone for leading airlines, private air travel, and businesses involved in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
Located in Dubai South, the project aims to develop a center for various types of maintenance and a destination for training and education, while promoting engineering industries to support the emirate’s vision of becoming a leading global aviation hub.
