The Dubai Global Chamber has inaugurated a new representative office in Karachi, Pakistan, aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between Dubai and Pakistan.
This establishment is part of the “Dubai Global” initiative, which seeks to launch 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. The goal is to solidify Dubai’s status as a leading global business hub by attracting foreign direct investments and facilitating the international expansion of local businesses across 30 priority markets globally.
The office was inaugurated during a ceremony in Karachi attended by Dr. Bakheet Al Rumeithi, the UAE Consul General in Karachi, along with several officials and business leaders.
Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Chambers, stated, “The opening of the Dubai Global Chamber office in Karachi is a significant step that demonstrates our strong commitment to enhancing economic partnerships between Dubai and Pakistan, as well as broadening the scope of bilateral cooperation among business communities. This aligns with our vision of establishing new pathways that support trade and investment flows, create quality growth opportunities, and empower Pakistani businesses to capitalize on Dubai’s promising growth potentials.”
The timing of this office opening is significant, as relations between Dubai and Pakistan are currently flourishing, with the value of Dubai’s non-oil trade with Pakistan reaching AED 22.8 billion in 2024. From January 2022 to September 2025, the number of active Pakistani companies registered as members of the Dubai Chamber increased by 161%, totaling 33,110 firms. In the first nine months of 2025 alone, an additional 6,850 new Pakistani companies joined the chamber.
The new representative office will play a crucial role in supporting businesses in both Dubai and Pakistan, working closely with the Pakistani business community to enhance relationships with key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. It will also promote the competitive advantages of Dubai as a global business destination and provide valuable market information to assist Pakistani companies looking to establish a presence in the emirate and expand into global markets.
Additionally, the office will support Dubai-based companies looking to expand into Pakistan by offering insights into the Pakistani market, helping them identify potential business and investment opportunities, and connecting them with reliable local partners to facilitate their entry and smooth operations in this market.
