Eaton Selects Dubai as a Hub for Advanced Manufacturing

The company Eaton, which specializes in smart energy management, is setting up an advanced manufacturing and engineering center in Dubai.

This new facility aims to enhance the supply chain capabilities for Eaton across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It has been developed in collaboration with the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), the main free zone operated by DP World, according to Supply Chain Digital.

The center is expected to open in 2026 and will include areas for manufacturing, engineering, customer experience, innovation, and training, creating approximately 700 jobs.

According to Eaton, the project will incorporate 20 technologies from the Fourth Industrial Revolution to produce advanced electrical and electronic components for critical sectors such as data centers, commercial buildings, and public utilities, while also localizing the production of key components.

This strategic location, situated in one of the largest logistics hubs globally, will help reduce lead times and enhance supply chain flexibility. Paolo Ruiz, the CEO of Eaton, expressed the project’s alignment with corporate and government objectives, stating:

“Our latest sustainable manufacturing and engineering facility will further empower Eaton to meet the growing demand for safe, sustainable, and efficient energy delivery across the region and beyond.”

He added, “We are proud to collaborate with DP World and JAFZA to align with Dubai’s vision of accelerating sustainable industrial growth in the region and positioning the country as a global leader in advanced manufacturing and innovation.”

Eaton’s investment is in line with Dubai’s D33 strategy, aimed at enhancing technology-driven industrial growth and establishing the city as a global manufacturing hub. The project is expected to create high-skilled roles in research engineering and advanced manufacturing, thereby contributing to economic diversification in the area.
