The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has confirmed that various tourist destinations in the country remain open to visitors, adhering strictly to established safety and quality standards.
The ministry stated in a release on its official social media accounts that the tourism sector continues to operate in accordance with directives from relevant authorities, while closely monitoring ongoing developments.
The statement emphasized that the safety and comfort of visitors are our top priorities. We are committed to working closely with our industry partners to ensure the stability and continuity of the tourism experience in the country based on current conditions. Furthermore, it noted that hotels, resorts, cultural attractions, and shopping centers are welcoming guests and providing services within the approved regulatory frameworks while fully complying with safety and quality standards. The responsible entities are reviewing operational conditions and occupancy levels on a daily basis to ensure the smooth delivery of services and to promptly and effectively address any arising challenges.
The ministry encouraged visitors to reach out directly to accommodation providers or tourism service suppliers for the latest information regarding bookings or programs.
Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism has announced that all hotels, attractions, and tourism experiences in the emirate are continuing normal operations, receiving tourists and guests as usual. Recently, the department instructed hotels in the emirate to extend the stays of guests who are unable to travel due to current circumstances, confirming that it will cover all costs for the extension period.
