Emirates Airline Introduces New Mobility Initiatives for Its Commercial Team

Emirates Airlines has announced a series of leadership changes within its global commercial team, underscoring its ongoing commitment to developing a strong base of Emirati talent capable of steering future growth for the airline.

Effective from February 1, 2026, the following appointments will take effect within the commercial operations management team: Majid Al Falasi, currently Emirates’ Country Manager in Vietnam, will transition to the role of Country Manager for Emirates in Indonesia, while Wahid Al Balushi, the current Country Manager in Jeddah, will be appointed as the Country Manager for Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Al Qassim, who is currently Emirates’ Country Manager in Cambodia, will take over the position of Country Manager in Jeddah, and Fahd Al Hassawi, currently managing the Eastern Province operations in Saudi Arabia, will assume the Country Manager role in Cambodia. Sultan Bin Hadda will also be appointed as the Manager of Commercial Support for the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia.

Leadership Development

These appointments are part of Emirates’ program for managing commercial operations at international stations, a specialized training initiative aimed at providing Emirati talent with unique opportunities to develop their leadership abilities and expand their understanding of local markets within the airline’s global network. The program focuses on cultivating future leaders in commercial operations, cargo, and airport management, offering comprehensive training, professional mentoring, and diverse international experiences that contribute to the development of well-rounded skills and robust global networks for program participants.

This program is a key component of Emirates Group’s localization strategy, dedicated to empowering national talent and preparing them for global leadership roles in the future, while ensuring the sustainability of organizational growth and aligning with Emirates’ long-term ambitions.
