The Federal Tax Authority has announced the approval of 100 new initiatives aimed at eliminating digital bureaucracy to further enhance the “Emirates Tax” platform for digital tax services. These initiatives were developed based on suggestions and insights gathered from users and stakeholders through real-life experiences during meetings and an interactive workshop attended by approximately 560 participants.
This announcement was made at the “Tax Bureaucracy Elimination Retreat” held in Dubai, themed “Digital Services and Zero Bureaucracy.” The event was inaugurated by Khalid Al Bustani, the Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, in the presence of Mohammed bin Taliah, Head of Government Services at the UAE Government, along with several partners and stakeholders.
Khalid Al Bustani emphasized the importance of engaging users and business sectors in providing their ideas and suggestions for sustainable development of the Authority’s services. He highlighted the need for collaboration to expedite the implementation of the “Digital Bureaucracy Elimination” program launched by the leadership to simplify people’s lives, revolutionizing governmental transaction and procedural systems while fostering a stimulating business environment attractive to talents.
He further noted that the Authority has recently launched a variety of initiatives to speed up tax procedures within the framework of the “Digital Bureaucracy Elimination” program, which aims to strengthen effective partnerships with the private sector. The Authority is committed to continually facilitating its services, eliminating more procedures, and reducing service completion times in alignment with this ambitious program, recognizing that achieving optimal results requires collective efforts.
Abdullah Al Bustaki, Executive Director of the Information Technology Sector at the Federal Tax Authority and head of the “Government Bureaucracy Elimination” program implementation team, honored several stakeholders and Authority employees who contributed effective ideas and suggestions that enhanced the Authority’s efforts to improve services and expand initiatives for bureaucratic elimination in the tax sector.
Brainstorming sessions were held to discuss the impact of the program on customer satisfaction and to propose further enhancements for services, while also measuring feedback regarding recent improvements already implemented or underway. Initiatives for the second phase of the digital bureaucracy elimination were also reviewed during the event.
