Flydubai has officially launched its regular flights to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, enhancing connectivity between the UAE and Kenya.
The inaugural flight arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, welcomed by traditional water cannons and attended by senior officials, including representatives from the Kenya Tourism Board and local travel partners.
Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the UAE, GCC, Africa, and South Asia at Flydubai, stated, “The introduction of our four weekly flights to Nairobi demonstrates our firm commitment to strengthening connections for our customers in the UAE, Kenya, and beyond. Kenya remains a significant destination for Flydubai, and with 11 weekly flights, we are pleased to welcome more travelers on board for a comfortable and seamless travel experience with our airline.”
Starting from October 1, Flydubai has increased its flights to Mombasa to a daily service, raising its total weekly services to Kenya to 11. With the launch of the Nairobi route, the airline now operates flights to 12 destinations in the African market, including Alexandria, Addis Ababa, New Alamein (seasonal), Asmara, Cairo, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Mombasa, and Zanzibar.
The flights to Nairobi operate from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
