The Central Finance Department of Sharjah has organized the fifth financial forum as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of government financial systems and to develop local talents in line with the best international practices and standards. This initiative aims to position Sharjah as a leading model in sound financial management and digital transformation.
The forum welcomed over 250 participants from various government agencies in Sharjah, alongside numerous officials, experts, and stakeholders interested in financial and digital matters. Attendees explored significant initiatives and projects aimed at improving performance, enhancing revenue systems, and promoting transparency and financial governance in Sharjah, while also showcasing key innovations that align with the aspirations of the Sharjah government in its comprehensive digital transition.
Huda Al-Yassi, Director of the Financial Systems Department at the Central Finance Department, emphasized that hosting the fifth financial forum reflects the department’s commitment to enhancing financial systems and improving operational mechanisms according to the best global practices. She noted that the strong attendance demonstrates the eagerness of various government institutions in Sharjah to contribute to the development of an integrated financial vision that supports resource sustainability and enhances governance and transparency.
She highlighted that this gathering provides a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences and aligning efforts across various sectors, which can elevate the government financial system to more advanced and effective levels. Moreover, she added that the financial forum serves as a strategic platform to strengthen institutional collaboration among government departments and agencies while showcasing the most important initiatives and innovations that resonate with the Sharjah government’s goals in comprehensive digital transformation.
