The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, a global platform aimed at tackling urgent sustainability challenges, has announced a partnership agreement with Emirates Steel, the largest publicly listed manufacturer of steel and construction materials in the UAE. Under this agreement, Emirates Steel will act as a supporting partner for the week.
The agreement was signed by Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, and Engineer Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO of Emirates Steel. According to the terms, Emirates Steel will be a supporting partner for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week from 2026 to 2028.
Hosted by Masdar, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week gathers world leaders, investors, and top innovators to accelerate the development of practical solutions through interconnected global systems. The event is scheduled to take place from January 11 to 15, 2026, under the theme “Integrated Launch Towards the Future.” The week aims to enhance efforts across energy, finance, technology, and community sectors, ensuring that they are prepared for the future, and transforming ambitious ideas into viable, scalable solutions across various sectors.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is recognized as a leading event on the global sustainability agenda and will feature a series of important activities. These include the annual meeting of the Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the annual summit of the Global Climate Finance Center, followed by the official opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and the award ceremony for the Zayed Sustainability Prize. The week’s activities will also encompass the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit and Dialogues, which will host an array of world leaders in engaging discussions focused on fostering collaboration, highlighting investment opportunities, and building effective partnerships. The 2026 edition is expected to attract over 50,000 participants from more than 170 countries, reinforcing its role as a global platform for enhancing collaboration, driving development, and catalyzing climate action.
