India has emerged as the leading source market for visitors to the United Arab Emirates, accounting for 14% of the total international arrivals. This highlights the significant position the UAE holds in the Indian market and underscores the robust tourism and economic ties between the two nations, alongside the success of flexible national tourism policies in attracting visitors from this pivotal market.
The UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, noted that air travel between the UAE and the Republic of India is experiencing considerable activity.
There are approximately 1,231 direct flights each week connecting cities in both countries, operated by national carriers, reflecting the high demand and strong air connectivity between the two sides.
In discussions between Minister Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri and Indian Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, they explored ways to enhance joint cooperation in the aviation sector and develop the bilateral partnership to support economic and investment growth between their countries.
