Dulsco Group, a regional leader based in Dubai specializing in environmental solutions, outsourcing, talent acquisition, and employment in the energy sector, has launched an innovative program aimed at driver safety titled “Enhancing Defensive Driving Skills through Digital Innovation.” This initiative aligns with the UAE’s commitment to improving road safety.
The program utilizes artificial intelligence and the metaverse, along with a “Digital Driver’s Handbook” equipped with a QR code. Since its launch in June, the initiative has contributed to elevating safety standards across transportation fleets and enhancing operational efficiency nationwide.
“Enhancing Defensive Driving Skills through Digital Innovation” is implemented via an interactive display screen (HUB) within the DigiSkills platform. Dulsco developed its digital education and assessment platform in collaboration with Connected Safety Network (CSN).
The program combines micro-digital learning, psychological assessments, behavioral tracking, dynamic performance monitoring, personalized learning paths, and continuous development programs to ensure drivers are well-prepared for modern driving demands.
The QR code-enabled “Digital Driver’s Handbook,” which is updated weekly through CSN dashboards, allows for precise tracking of all training records, compliance levels, and driver performance.
The program relies on establishing individual driver profiles as the main foundation, with psychometric tests identifying each driver’s behavior patterns and risk factors. AI-supported performance tracking systems monitor acceleration, braking, lane discipline, and speed.
Predictive analytics help identify potential risks before accidents occur, while the real-time feedback loop facilitates direct communication among drivers, managers, and trainers, thereby enhancing continuous awareness and performance improvement.
The next phase will involve launching a metaverse-based training system that provides an enhanced real-world simulation environment for drivers to practice and refine their defensive driving skills more effectively. Since its inception, 251 drivers have been trained, with plans to expand the program to over 600 drivers by the end of the year.
Anthony Mark, CEO of Dulsco, stated, “Safety is a strategic priority for Dulsco, and we are dedicated to protecting our drivers, passengers, and the communities we serve.”
He further explained that traditional training often consists of a single compliance session without immediate follow-up, failing to fully engage drivers. In contrast, the new approach aims to make a significant impact by integrating AI-powered analytics, continuous monitoring, and personalized learning into a cohesive system, transforming each driver into a certified expert and safety ambassador.
Paul Richardson, Managing Director of Connected Safety Network (CSN), remarked, “At Connected Safety Network, we take pride in our partnership with Dulsco as one of our most distinguished clients. Their ongoing passion for innovation and development, along with their commitment to adopting the latest technologies for genuine business transformation, makes this partnership exceptional in every aspect. We look forward to continuing to support Dulsco in achieving greater safety outcomes.”
