His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, expressed global confidence in Dubai and the UAE’s capability to spearhead food innovation and establish modern, resilient supply chains.

His remarks were made during the opening ceremony of the 11th edition of the “Gulfood Manufacturing 2025” exhibition, which runs until November 6 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This year’s event features unprecedented participation from industry experts, food and beverage producers, innovators, and technology leaders from around the globe.

He emphasized that “Gulfood Manufacturing 2025” serves as a pivotal international platform to expedite smart and sustainable transformations within the food sector, noting that the extraordinary global participation this year reflects international trust in Dubai and the UAE’s ability to drive food innovation and create adaptable supply chains.

His Highness praised the eco-friendly solutions, smart manufacturing systems, and cutting-edge innovations presented by major companies and participating nations. He highlighted the exhibition’s embodiment of collaboration and innovation, asserting its strategic role in building a safer, more inclusive, and sustainable food future for all.

In a post on the “X” platform yesterday, he stated: “I officially inaugurated the 11th edition of Gulfood Manufacturing 2025, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring over 2,500 exhibitors from 79 countries, including nations joining for the first time with national pavilions. This reflects the growing stature of the exhibition as a hub for food industry pioneers and technology leaders worldwide. This event solidifies Dubai’s place as a leading global destination for specialized events and showcases our commitment to supporting international efforts and enhancing partnerships for a secure and sustainable food future.”

The exhibition is the premier global venue for food manufacturing, merging the latest industry technologies with opportunities valued in billions of dollars, as the Middle East strengthens its position as a global powerhouse in AI-driven production.

This advancement is powered by the adoption of advanced, interconnected Fourth Industrial Revolution systems, aligning with the UAE’s goals of increasing local food production by 30% before 2030.

Exhibition Tour

During his tour of the exhibition, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the Symrise booth from Germany, where he learned about their innovative developments in sustainable flavors and food ingredients.

He then stopped by the Chocolake booth from Jordan, where he was briefed on the company’s offerings of sustainable manufacturing solutions and environmentally friendly production processes.

Additionally, he visited the Givaudan booth from Switzerland, where he discovered their latest offerings in flavor and food fragrance solutions, including AI technologies used in product development.

At the Middleby booth from the United States, he explored cutting-edge food processing equipment and automated machines that enhance production efficiency and safety. He also visited the IMCD booth from the Netherlands, which highlights specialized distribution and ingredient solutions aimed at fostering innovation in the food industry.

The tour included several participating nations’ pavilions, such as the French pavilion showcasing various companies in the food manufacturing sector, where he observed the latest innovations in organic products and modern manufacturing techniques. He also visited the German pavilion, which hosts companies engaged in advanced food technology, including precision machinery and digital solutions.

His tour concluded with a visit to the Italian pavilion, where he received insights into the contributions of Italian companies to sustainability and innovation within the food manufacturing sector, particularly regarding traditionally reimagined products.

Food Technology Summit

This edition of the exhibition features a variety of events, highlighted by the “Food Technology Summit,” which includes prominent global figures and experts from leading companies like Mars, Titan Capital, Unilever, and Hive Capital, aiming to explore the future of the sector and the intersection of innovation, investment, and policy, as well as the event’s crucial role in shaping the food industry for the next decade.

The current edition of Gulfood Manufacturing comes amid forecasts of a substantial surge in the global food manufacturing market, expected to reach $318.29 billion by 2034, with AI leading sector growth through automation and machine learning at every production stage.
