Marginal Impact on Certain National Carrier Flights to Europe

Some flights operated by national carriers have experienced limited impacts on their routes to certain European destinations due to a cyberattack aimed at the check-in and boarding system provider for several European airports. This has led to temporary disruptions in operations. Flight schedules for Emirates revealed that a few of their flights faced minor delays, which were managed according to standard operating procedures.

Etihad Airways reported that some of its services are experiencing delays in the check-in process at Brussels and London due to the cyberattack affecting passenger systems at various European airports.

The airline stated that the check-in procedures at London Heathrow and Brussels International are taking longer than usual, confirming that their ground teams are assisting guests to expedite the check-in process and mitigate any delays in their services.

Passengers traveling through these airports were advised to arrive earlier to minimize potential delays. The airline also assured that its technical teams are actively working to restore systems to normal functionality and expressed apologies to travelers for the delays caused by circumstances beyond their control.

Meanwhile, Flydubai continued to operate its flights to various European destinations without any issues, as no delays have been reported, and all flights are adhering to their scheduled times.

The national carriers are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with relevant authorities and European airports to ensure minimal impact on travelers.

The airlines reaffirm their commitment to the highest standards of safety, service, and operational quality while striving to mitigate any operational disruptions resulting from this unforeseen cyber incident.
