The Federal Tax Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding and technical cooperation with the Federal Tax Service of Russia to enhance collaboration in tax management between the two parties. This agreement was made during the recent meeting of tax officials and experts from BRICS nations held in Manaus, Brazil, which included delegations from the respective tax authorities.
The memorandum was signed by Khalid Al Bustani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, and Daniil Egorov, Director General of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
Khalid Al Bustani stated, “The memorandum signed in Brazil will strengthen the bilateral cooperation between our countries in the tax sector, aligning with our ongoing efforts to establish a solid foundation for effective collaboration with tax authorities in friendly nations. This initiative aims to enhance and facilitate the exchange of expertise through clear mechanisms and programs, ultimately benefiting the performance and efficiency of tax systems and services.”
The memorandum aims to intensify cooperation and exchange of knowledge in areas such as digital transformation in tax management, developmental training programs, international coordination, and participation in organizing seminars, sessions, working groups, and visits.
