NMC Group Expands Its Fleet with a Dredger Worth 618 Million Dirhams

«NMC Group», a company operating in engineering, procurement, construction, and dredging sectors listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, has announced a significant enhancement to its fleet with the acquisition of a self-propelled cutter suction dredger valued at 618 million AED.

The dredger, measuring a total length of 148 meters and featuring a combined operational power of 30,440 kW, will bolster NMC Group’s capabilities in dredging as the company continues to expand its project portfolio across various international markets.

The vessel’s keel laying ceremony was attended by officials from NMC Group and its subsidiary, NMC Dredging and Marine, marking the commencement of the construction phase. The completion and operational launch of the vessel are expected by the first quarter of 2027. Engineer Yasser Zaghloul, CEO of NMC Group, stated:

“The celebration of the construction of a new vessel is a tangible reflection of our expanding operations and our focused efforts to enhance our operational capabilities, while also laying the groundwork for future growth. This advanced dredger will join NMC’s distinguished fleet, contributing to our operational efficiency and empowering us to execute projects with a higher level of proficiency.”
