The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has announced that it is home to over 3,600 British investors engaged in small and medium enterprises and industrial sectors, establishing the emirate’s status as a strategic gateway to the UAE and broader regional markets.
This revelation came during a high-level delegation’s visit from RAKEZ to the United Kingdom, where they held a series of meetings with British investors, sector leaders, and business representatives in London and Manchester. The aim was to enhance investment cooperation and explore promising opportunities in Ras Al Khaimah, focusing on presenting the investment incentives and facilities provided by the zone to local and international businesses to attract more foreign direct investment.
RAKEZ reiterated its commitment to strengthening economic ties with global strategic partners during these discussions, noting that Ras Al Khaimah serves as an attractive investment platform due to its comprehensive business environment, advanced infrastructure, and flexible regulatory framework that allows companies to grow and expand seamlessly within a supportive ecosystem.
As an official sponsor, RAKEZ participated in the introductory forum in London organized by the British Chamber of Commerce in Dubai, titled “Doing Business in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.” This event gathered a select group of British investors interested in expanding into the Middle East. Holly Garforth, the Business Development Manager at RAKEZ, contributed to a panel discussion where she provided practical insights on establishing and transferring businesses within the RAKEZ operational framework. The RAKEZ delegation also engaged in discussions about choosing the optimal business establishment model in the UAE, highlighting the advantages of the regulatory environment and supportive infrastructure for growth in Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to conducting bilateral meetings with representatives from advanced manufacturing, supply chains, and professional services sectors to explore partnership opportunities and expand investment horizons.
Rami Gladd, CEO of RAKEZ, stated that the UK is a priority market for RAKEZ, given the growing interest from British companies seeking efficient, scalable platforms to support their regional and global expansion. Our visit provided a valuable opportunity for direct communication with decision-makers, understanding their trends, and showcasing the advantages Ras Al Khaimah offers, including advanced infrastructure, a clear regulatory framework, and integrated logistical connectivity that enables businesses to grow confidently and sustainably. With over 3,600 British investors, RAKEZ continues to reflect its attractiveness as a reliable base for expansion, export operations, and long-term investments. This promotional tour in the UK is part of RAKEZ’s ongoing international efforts to enhance trade links and attract quality investments, solidifying the economic bridge between Ras Al Khaimah and the United Kingdom.
