This plan focuses on several key pillars aimed at fostering sustainable economic development in the emirate.
The strategy emphasizes enhancing the business environment in Ras Al Khaimah, positioning it as a leading destination for tourism, industry, and commerce in the region. It also aims to attract foreign investments and global companies, support the expansion of local businesses into international markets, and develop a robust digital economy to drive growth.
Additionally, this plan, developed by the chamber’s Strategy and Digital Economy Department, seeks to create a competitive and sustainable business environment by simplifying processes, promoting governance and transparency, safeguarding the rights of investors and consumers, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through support for startups and a conducive investment climate.
Mohammed Mubarak Al Nuaimi emphasized that the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry plays a crucial role in encouraging foreign investment, opening the emirate’s economy to global markets, and promoting the UAE Vision 2030 on an international scale. He highlighted the chamber’s pivotal role in resolving commercial disputes through alternative amicable means such as mediation and arbitration, representing the emirate’s economic activities on international platforms, organizing exhibitions, attracting investors, and facilitating trade missions while strengthening partnerships with relevant entities.
During the meeting, Al Nuaimi discussed with the board members the implementation mechanisms for the new strategy and its alignment with national development plans. He reiterated that this strategy serves as a foundational element in enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation as a global center for economic, investment, commerce, and digital activities. He noted that the adoption of this plan reflects the chamber’s commitment to achieving the state’s objectives and the visionary leadership’s guidance in the emirate, as well as the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, focusing on progress, innovation, sustainability, and global leadership.
Al Nuaimi further explained that the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to fulfill its vital role as the economic arm of the emirate by supporting economic policies, empowering the business community, and enhancing strategic partnerships with both the public and private sectors. This approach contributes to accelerating economic growth and achieving comprehensive development. He added that work is already underway to implement initiatives and programs derived from the new strategy to meet the emirate’s ambitions for building a competitive and sustainable economic future based on economic diversification, innovation, and a digital economy that attracts quality investments, thereby elevating Ras Al Khaimah’s status as an advanced economic and investment hub on both regional and global levels.
He concluded, saying that an integrated strategy has been adopted to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors, reflecting the chamber’s future role in shaping the emirate’s economy. This strategy marks a new beginning in supporting the business sector and enhancing its competitiveness, with a focus on attracting quality investments, bolstering the digital economy, promoting foreign trade, and elevating the role of the private sector.
