Samsung Selects the UAE to Launch Its First 10-Inch Triple-Folding Phone Exclusively in the Middle East

In celebration of the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates, Samsung Electronics officially unveiled its first triple-fold smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold. This innovative device converts into a 10-inch tablet when completely opened and will be launched in the UAE, one of only five countries worldwide to feature this product.

The UAE was chosen for its passion for innovation, advanced 5G infrastructure, and a user base eager for the latest technologies, making it a pivotal location for Samsung’s global product launches.

This latest smartphone boasts the thinnest design ever seen in Samsung’s foldable range, measuring just 3.9 mm thick when opened and 12.9 mm when closed, with a total weight of 309 grams.

It features an external cover display of 6.5 inches, providing users with flexibility for various usage scenarios.

Samsung will release a limited number of units globally, with only 500 available in the UAE. Purchases will be restricted to special invitations from Samsung, and the price is expected to be around 11,000 AED.

The announcement comes after prior coverage highlighted the launch timeline and anticipated specifications

In terms of performance, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile platform designed specifically for Galaxy devices, incorporating an inward-folding mechanism enhanced with advanced protection technologies. These include a smart system that alerts users with vibrations upon detecting any issues that could affect screen integrity.

TM Roh, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics, stated, “Samsung continues its relentless pursuit of discovering new horizons that shape the future of mobile experiences. Through years of innovation in foldable devices, the Galaxy Z TriFold addresses one of the most pressing challenges in the mobile sector by combining portability, high performance, and productivity into one device, expanding the capabilities of mobile technology in work, creativity, and communication.”

Fadi Abu Shamat, head of the mobile division at Samsung Gulf, emphasized that this device is not experimental but rather aimed at a select audience. He noted that it has become a core member of the Z Fold family, and the UAE’s infrastructure and its acceptance of new technologies played a significant role in Samsung’s decision to launch this device exclusively in the Middle East.

The Galaxy Z TriFold will be introduced in only five global markets, including the UAE, coinciding with the country’s 54th National Day celebrations.

Abu Shamat explained, “The UAE was selected among elite global markets for this launch, alongside Korea, China, Taiwan, and Singapore, due to its refined passion for adopting the latest technologies. This strategic launch reinforces the longstanding partnership between Samsung and the UAE, reflecting the country’s position as a significant global hub in the digital transformation journey.”

The smartphone is set to officially hit the local market on December 19, available in a single black variant with 512GB of storage.

With a thickness of 3.9 mm at its thinnest point, the phone offers flagship-level performance powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, a 200 MP camera, and the largest battery ever in a Samsung foldable at 5,600 mAh. The battery consists of three cells distributed across the device for balanced power distribution and heat management, ensuring all-day usage, complemented by 45W fast charging technology.

Samsung has redesigned the Armor FlexHinge mechanism to meet the requirements of the new device. It features two different-sized hinges operating harmoniously within a dual-path structure, allowing for smoother and more stable folding despite the varying weights and components across the three sections of the device. This refined design enables the screens to fold tightly against each other, minimizing the gap between them for a slimmer and more portable structure.

The device is built with a titanium hinge structure, with a finely crafted metal piece added to protect the folding mechanism and improve its resistance to wear over time. Additionally, the frame utilizes a blend of Advanced Armor Aluminum for superior strength without adding weight, helping to prevent screen contact when closed. The back is made from a reinforced polymer combined with ceramic fibers and glass, providing a perfect mix of thinness, sturdiness, and crack resistance.

Productivity features on the Galaxy Z TriFold are designed to seamlessly enhance the user experience on its 10-inch display.

The new device will be available for purchase in the UAE starting December 19, 2025, at select stores that allow users to experience the device hands-on with Samsung experts.

Samsung promises customers a six-month trial subscription to Google AI Pro upon purchase, which includes advanced features in the Gemini app, such as video creation through Veo3, and 2 terabytes of secure cloud storage.
