The Central Finance Department of Sharjah successfully concluded its participation in the ninth edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2026, organized by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) under the theme “Where We Belong.”
The festival took place on January 31 and February 1, 2026, at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park. This event stands as the largest entrepreneurial gathering in the region, featuring more than 300 speakers from both global and regional backgrounds, and welcoming over 14,000 participants. It included more than 250 sessions and activities across ten specialized areas focusing on innovation, investment, and positive impact.
The department’s involvement highlights its commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sharjah by showcasing its innovative financial services aimed at empowering small and medium-sized enterprises. This initiative seeks to facilitate their access to government markets and advanced financial facilities, contributing to the establishment of a sustainable economy driven by creativity and community belonging.
According to Hudha Al-Yassi, the Director of the Financial System Department at the Central Finance Department, “Our participation in this exceptional entrepreneurial event is rooted in our strong belief that entrepreneurship is a fundamental pillar for sustaining economic growth and an effective means to achieve comprehensive development based on innovation and fresh ideas.” She emphasized that the department aims to empower youth to meet the demands of the current era and rapid technological advancements, enabling them to create genuine positive changes that serve community aspirations and solidify Sharjah’s position as a global entrepreneurial hub.
