The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority welcomed Lisa Paqusta, the Estonian Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, along with her accompanying delegation, at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. This visit aims to strengthen the authority’s efforts to build international partnerships and exchange expertise and knowledge with leading countries in technology, while also exploring best practices in the fields of telecommunications and digital transformation. During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to enhance collaboration and reviewed the latest technologies and innovative solutions that contribute to improving digital quality of life, while benefiting from Estonia’s outstanding experience in digitalization and e-governance.
The team from the authority presented a comprehensive overview detailing its pivotal role in spearheading the digital government initiative in the UAE. The presentation highlighted the latest strategic trends and digital enablers provided by the authority to enhance the efficiency of government services, thereby positioning the country as a global model for sustainable digital transformation.
Strengthening Cooperation
Engineer Majed Sultan Al Messmar, the Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, expressed his gratitude for the Estonian minister’s visit. He emphasized, “This visit exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation and fostering knowledge partnerships with countries that have made significant strides in digitalization, such as Estonia.” He further stated, “We believe that sharing success stories and experiences is the best way to envision the future, and this meeting was an excellent opportunity to showcase the UAE’s leadership model in digital government and discuss how technology can serve as a bridge to sustainable development and benefit humanity.”
