Experts and officials have confirmed that the travel and tourism sector in the UAE has created approximately 898,000 jobs by 2024, with an aim to reach 925,000 jobs by the end of 2025.
They emphasized that the UAE is undergoing an economic transformation that prioritizes the development of human resources.
This announcement was made during the Talent Development and Corporate Culture Forum 2025, organized by the Miral Group in Abu Dhabi.
Aliyah bint Abdullah Al Mazrouei, the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, highlighted the strong link between the entrepreneurship sector and human resources, stating that both areas focus on unleashing human potential and believing in individual capabilities, while providing the necessary tools and confidence.
She addressed the HR leaders present, saying, “You are not just policy managers; you are the architects of the future. You serve as the bridge connecting ambition to achievement.”
Dr. Mohammed Al Zaabi, the CEO of Miral, mentioned in a panel discussion that the organization has attracted around 1,000 citizens to work in the tourism and entertainment destinations, with 150 of them holding leadership positions at Yas Island facilities. Al Zaabi remarked, “Artificial intelligence has become a fundamental part of today’s human resource framework, contributing to the enhancement of talent acquisition, development, and motivation.”
He added that the role of human resources has never been more strategic or essential.
