The travel activity at Dubai International Airport has seen a significant upswing in recent days, with expectations for this momentum to persist through to the end of December 2025. It is estimated that around 10 million travelers will pass through the airport from November 27 to December 31.
This winter travel season has kicked off earlier than usual this year, coinciding with the Union Day holiday. The average daily passenger count has exceeded 294,000, with projections for December estimating approximately 8.7 million travelers, making it the busiest month in the airport’s history.
Preliminary indicators from Dubai airports suggest a daily traveler count of about 300,000 throughout December, with Saturday projected to be the peak day at approximately 303,000 passengers.
Data indicates a noticeable balance in the number of incoming and outgoing travelers, with a surge in international trips in the days leading up to the National Day holiday, allowing residents to take advantage of the extended weekend.
In mid-December, the trend shifted, leading to a significant increase in arrivals to Dubai. This surge is fueled by a vibrant and diverse array of festive events happening in the city during the holiday season, as well as various entertainment programs welcoming the New Year, reinforcing Dubai’s appeal as an attractive destination for New Year celebrations.
