UAE and Brazil Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Civil Aviation Safety Cooperation

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates has signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in civil aviation safety with the National Civil Aviation Agency in Brazil. This agreement was formalized during the 42nd session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held in Montreal. The memorandum was signed by Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, and Tiago Viégas, President of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency.

The purpose of this agreement is to strengthen collaboration on policies and general standards regarding civil aviation safety. This includes the exchange of information, visits, expertise, and training initiatives. The operational agreement was signed by Engineer Aqeel Ahmed Al Zarouni, Assistant Director-General for Aviation Safety Affairs at the GCAA, and Roberto José Silveira Honorato, Head of Aviation Safety at the Brazilian civil aviation authority.
