The Emirates Businesswomen Council convened for its inaugural meeting of the seventh term at its Dubai headquarters, under the leadership of Aisha Mohammed Saeed Al-Mulla and in the presence of the new council members. The discussion focused on outlining a strategic plan aimed at enhancing the role of Emirati businesswomen across various economic sectors and expanding their involvement in sustainable development. Additionally, the meeting addressed the new bylaws of the council and presented an overview of its vision, mission, and strategic objectives for the coming four years.
The gathering also included the distribution of roles and responsibilities among the members, the establishment of specialized committees, and the introduction of innovative initiatives that reflect the council’s aspirations for empowering women and expanding their participation on local, regional, and international stages. Furthermore, the meeting resulted in the unanimous appointment of the first and second vice presidents of the council.
Empowerment Journey
Aisha Al-Mulla expressed her deep gratitude, on behalf of the council members, to the wise leadership for the trust bestowed upon the new council, emphasizing that this appointment serves as motivation to continue the empowerment journey initiated by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” who leads the UAE Gender Equality Council. Her inspiring vision aims for balanced empowerment of women and men.
She highlighted the council’s significant national responsibility, which calls for teamwork and a renewed commitment to supporting Emirati women and business leaders, enhancing their roles in driving the national economy, and solidifying the UAE’s image as a global hub for creativity, innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness.
Innovative Initiatives
Dr. Amal Abdullah Al-Hadabi, the first vice president of the council, confirmed that the new phase will see the launch of training programs and innovative initiatives designed to empower the next generation of Emirati businesswomen, reflecting global economic transformations and preparing women for the future.
Meanwhile, Dr. Amina Khalifa, the second vice president, emphasized that the council will operate under a vision focused on creating a supportive business environment for Emirati women, rooted in innovation and sustainability, enabling them to compete on both regional and international fronts.
Leadership Platform
Council members articulated that their vision for the seventh term is to serve as a national leadership platform that represents the interests of the businesswomen community, aiming to promote sustainable economic development and support national efforts in economically and socially empowering women while broadening their participation at all levels.
