Today, the UAE Development Bank unveiled its documentary titled “The Value of Impact” during an exclusive premiere for VIP guests at the Aqeel Cinema.
This documentary marks the beginning of a new narrative approach in the financial sector, shifting the focus from mere numbers to compelling stories stemming from human journeys that contribute to shaping the future in the United Arab Emirates.
The new film was produced in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the “Made in UAE” initiative, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and the “UAE: Capital of Global Entrepreneurs” campaign. It provides an in-depth look at the far-reaching impacts of strategic support that fosters significant societal advancement. The film shares inspiring stories from three entrepreneurs who overcame substantial personal and professional challenges to build their businesses in the UAE, backed by the UAE Development Bank. By showcasing these real success stories that emphasize strength, resilience, and innovation, the film aims to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs to take bold steps toward establishing a distinguished entrepreneurial future.
The documentary will be available for viewing by the public across the region on December 2 through the Starzplay digital platform, coinciding with the national celebrations of the UAE’s National Day.
The premiere event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, alongside partners of the UAE Development Bank from both the public and private sectors, representatives from Starzplay, industrial entrepreneurs, and notable media figures.
During the occasion, Ahmad Mohammed Al Naqbi, CEO of the UAE Development Bank, stated that the film “The Value of Impact” highlights the individuals and ideas driving economic development in the UAE. He added, “Our message at the UAE Development Bank is clear. When we finance and support business growth, we contribute to our nation’s development. Each project we assist creates job opportunities, stimulates innovation, and adds long-term value to the country. This documentary clearly embodies that truth. From this perspective, we continue to strengthen the foundations of a diverse, future-ready economy by supporting the aspirations of entrepreneurs and enhancing partnerships with government and both public and private sectors.”
The UAE Development Bank plays a crucial role in advancing the country’s economic diversification agenda and supports the national strategy for advanced industry and technology as the UAE’s national development bank. The documentary highlights the bank’s role in supporting and financing priority sectors such as advanced technology, food security, and healthcare, illustrating how this support generates a profound and widespread impact that stimulates economic growth, job creation, and self-sufficiency.
Additionally, Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Entrepreneurship Sector and Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, remarked, “The UAE’s vision for economic development primarily centers on people. We measure success not just by outcomes, but by the spirit, determination, and innovators who take risks and create new industries. This vision is at the heart of the campaign ‘UAE: Capital of Global Entrepreneurs’.
