The United Arab Emirates has inaugurated the Artificial Intelligence Academy, an initiative designed to cultivate a new generation of leaders in the field of AI.
This academy merges cutting-edge research with practical insights from the industry, enhancing the role of the Middle East in global AI advancements.
The initiative, launched by the Polynom Group in partnership with the Abu Dhabi School of Management, features a range of short courses tailored for executives, high-ranking government officials, and specialized professionals.
These courses will delve into essential AI principles, national AI frameworks, generative AI tools, and executive-level applications, ensuring leaders can effectively engage across various sectors.
The short courses will be offered in multiple languages and will lay the groundwork for extensive AI skill development initiatives.
The formal agreement for this strategic partnership was signed in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, during the annual professional AI summit titled “The Machines Can See Summit.”
In addition to the initial offerings, the Academy will introduce the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) Program, an innovative 3-4 month leadership course aimed at grooming a new generation of AI decision-makers. This program comprises eight advanced modules that equip participants with a thorough understanding of AI strategies, governance, and implementation across diverse sectors, including finance, healthcare, and public governance.
Participants in the program will engage in exclusive seminars led by prominent scientists and industry leaders, gaining insights into the latest research and developments in areas such as computer vision, large language models, sovereign AI, and AI ethics.
These sessions will promote constructive discussions and provide essential practical and strategic knowledge for individuals influencing the future of AI in the region.
The academy will also incorporate NVIDIA’s expertise and technologies into select courses, supporting its mission to enhance AI preparedness and practical application in the region.
