The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Saud bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Projects and the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, participated in the seventh edition of the “Turathuna” exhibition for handicrafts and heritage products in Egypt. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, and will continue until October 11, featuring five participating countries: the UAE, Jordan, Algeria, Pakistan, and Tunisia as the guest of honor.
During the event, Madbouly visited the UAE pavilion, represented by the Saud bin Saqr Foundation and the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber. He engaged in conversations with the UAE delegation, exploring the displays. He expressed admiration for what he observed and listened to explanations from the head of the delegation, Youssef Ismail, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Saud bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Projects, who was accompanied by Yasser Al Ahmad, Head of Government and Institutional Communications at the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority (RAKEZ).
Ismail highlighted the commitment of Ras Al Khaimah to actively participate in significant heritage events. He emphasized that such presence allows the showcasing of the rich and diverse Emirati heritage, reflected in social customs, lifestyles, occasions, and folk arts. He noted that the participation of the Saud bin Saqr Foundation in this year’s exhibition aligns with the directives from the UAE leadership to promote the cultural and heritage identity of the nation and its people, presenting its historical significance at all events, as a beacon of scientific and cultural enlightenment.
