Haitham Al-Junaibi, the head of the technical program for the ADIPEC 2025 exhibition and conference, stated that ADIPEC stands as the world’s premier event in the oil, gas, and energy transition sectors. He highlighted that this year’s edition is witnessing an unprecedented level of participation in scientific research and advanced technologies.
In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the ADIPEC 2025 activities, Al-Junaibi noted that the technical program attracted over 1,000 companies and 370 members within technical teams, contributing more than 6,000 research papers covering various aspects of the oil and gas industry, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emission reduction technologies. This emphasizes the global shift towards developing innovative solutions that ensure the sustainability of the sector amidst rapid changes in energy.
He further mentioned that this year’s event saw summaries and research papers submitted by over 1,100 companies from 93 countries, surpassing the participation recorded in 2024, thereby solidifying ADIPEC’s status as a comprehensive global platform for the energy ecosystem.
Al-Junaibi pointed out that the entries related to artificial intelligence and digital technologies increased by 26%, representing around 20% of the total submissions (1,294 applications), which clearly indicates the transformative role of modern technologies in the global energy landscape.
He elaborated that this year’s conference focused on translating innovation into tangible impacts, highlighting three main themes among the key topics discussed: operational excellence (16%), drilling and well services (14%), and carbon neutrality and sustainability (12%).
