7.6 Billion Dirhams Worth of Exports from Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ras Al Khaimah has reported a remarkable increase in the number of issued certificates of origin during the first nine months of 2025. A total of 26,823 certificates were issued, marking an 11.4% rise compared to the same period last year. This growth highlights the ongoing vibrancy of trade and export activities in the emirate, reinforcing its status as a vital economic hub both nationally and regionally.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Shammeli, Acting Director-General of the Chamber, stated that the value of goods exported by its members, which are covered by these certificates, reached approximately 7.6 billion AED. He noted that the third quarter of the year was particularly active, with 9,467 certificates of origin issued.

He pointed out that Saudi Arabia ranked as the primary destination for exports from Ras Al Khaimah in the first nine months of this year, receiving 9,393 certificates with a value of goods exceeding 1.6 billion AED. Following Saudi Arabia were Oman with 2,199 certificates valued at 211 million AED, Kuwait with 1,182 certificates nearly valued at 299 million AED, and Iraq in fourth place with 992 certificates worth 1.2 billion AED. Qatar followed with 796 certificates valued at 119 million AED, Bahrain issued 747 certificates valued at 57 million AED, and Egypt received 717 certificates worth approximately 265 million AED.

Dr. Al-Shammeli added that the total number of importing countries for products from members of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber reached 147, showcasing the diversity of markets and the expansion of international trade activities by the private sector in Ras Al Khaimah. He also noted that 2,839 certificates were issued from free zones to the local UAE market with a value of goods reaching 567 million AED, indicating the growing role of free zones in supporting the national economy.

He emphasized that this positive performance in export indicators reflects the success of the Chamber in empowering its member companies and broadening their business reach in regional and global markets. The increase in the volume of certificates and the value of exported goods signifies the dynamic nature of the production and trade sectors in the emirate, demonstrating their competitiveness and capacity to contribute added value to the local economy.

Dr. Al-Shammeli remarked that export activities serve as a key driver of economic growth in Ras Al Khaimah, bolstering revenues for national companies, attracting new investments, creating job opportunities, and enhancing supply chains and logistics services, thereby supporting the emirate’s vision of building a diverse and sustainable economy based on production, trade, and knowledge.

Furthermore, the Chamber is continually working on enhancing services tailored to the export sector by streamlining procedures, expanding international partnerships, and opening new channels to reach global markets. He affirmed that a balanced economic environment, modern infrastructure, and advantageous government incentives have made Ras Al Khaimah a favored destination for investors and exporters, as well as a fertile ground for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, which are a cornerstone of the national economy.
