The fifth edition of the Dubai Coffee World Exhibition 2026 concluded successfully, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global hub for specialty coffee production and trade. This coincided with the impressive achievements of the second edition of the “Dubai Coffee Auction,” organized by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
The exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, attracted over 20,000 specialized visitors from more than 80 countries, with participation from over 2,100 companies and brands from 78 nations. This highlights the rapid growth of international presence and the expansion of trade networks across various stages of the specialty coffee value chain.
The event closed with the recognition of winners in both local and international competitions, alongside the announcement of the auction results that took place throughout the exhibition days.
DMCC confirmed a strong early demand for the Dubai Coffee World 2027 edition, with 50% of the exhibition space already booked for the next session, indicating a clear rise in confidence toward the event.
Central Role
This unified momentum between the exhibition and auction reflects the pivotal role Dubai plays in connecting global producers with buyers, providing reliable platforms for price discovery, and fostering innovation and professionalism in an industry valued at over $130 billion globally. This further cements the emirate’s position as a global capital for specialty coffee and advanced trade in this sector.
According to Khaled Al Hamadi, Executive Vice President at DMCC, the Dubai Coffee World Exhibition has established itself as a platform where the specialty coffee sector gathers to celebrate excellence, share knowledge, and conduct business.
The remarkable increase in visitor numbers and early interest in booking space for the 2027 edition underscores Dubai’s and the exhibition’s role as a connector between markets, talents, and opportunities.
“Dubai Coffee Auction”
Meanwhile, the DMCC concluded the second edition of the “Dubai Coffee Auction,” achieving a total value of $70,000 for specialty coffee batches, featuring producers from 13 countries of origin, making it the widest geographical range recorded in a single coffee auction.
The auction registered 1,364 international bids, alongside a historic first with the international sale of coffee from the continental United States, establishing a new pricing benchmark for coffee from the mainland U.S.
Notably, the auction achieved significant price results, including a Bolivian specialty coffee that sold for $386 per kilogram, marking the second-highest price ever recorded for Bolivian coffee at auction, confirming the ongoing strong global demand for high-quality, traceable coffee when presented through transparent and competitive platforms.
On this occasion, Ahmed Hamza, Executive Director of the DMCC Free Zone, stated, “As the total value of the global coffee market exceeds $130 billion, and the share of specialty coffee in global consumption continues to grow, relying on reliable mechanisms for price discovery is no longer an option but a necessity to ensure the sustainability of this sector in the long term.”
