Emirates Airlines, the world’s largest international carrier, has strengthened its air connectivity to and from Africa by activating an interline agreement with Air Peace, the largest airline in West Africa, as part of their ongoing partnership. This agreement allows passengers of both airlines to enjoy a more seamless travel experience with a single ticket, including the ability to transfer checked luggage to their final destination on selected routes, enhancing convenience for travelers.
In addition to the 13 Nigerian cities currently accessible to Emirates travelers through the Air Peace network, the enhanced interline agreement now provides connections to Banjul in Gambia and Dakar in Senegal via Abidjan, as well as to Freetown in Sierra Leone and Monrovia in Liberia via Accra. It also allows passengers from Africa to travel smoothly across Emirates’ extensive global flight network, benefiting from its world-class products and services.
The partnership offers Air Peace the ability to connect its extensive routes in West and Central Africa with Emirates’ hub in Dubai, along with key destinations that include London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted. With the growing demand for travel between Lagos, Abidjan, Accra, and the United Kingdom, this agreement provides Air Peace customers with expanded options, greater flexibility, and broader global access.
Broader Options
Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, stated: “By enhancing our partnership with Air Peace, we are able to expand our services to more destinations in Africa, offering travelers greater options to experience the unique travel experience that Emirates is known for. This also enables international tourists to explore more destinations in Africa through Lagos, showcasing our commitment to collaborating with strategic partners like Air Peace to enhance the aviation, tourism, and trade sectors in Nigeria.”
A Significant Step
Noel Ngala, CEO of Air Peace, remarked: “The interline agreement with Emirates represents an important step in Air Peace’s strategic vision to connect Africa with global markets more efficiently. By combining our strong regional presence with Emirates’ extensive global flight network, we provide seamless connectivity, improved travel experiences, and greater access to major worldwide destinations for travelers from Africa. This partnership also reinforces Air Peace’s role as a vital bridge between Africa and the global aviation system.”
