UAE Takes Part in the 21st International Conference and Exhibition for Natural Gas Liquefaction in Qatar

The Honorable Suhail Mohamed Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, led the UAE delegation at the 21st International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which commenced yesterday in the Qatari capital, Doha, and will run until February 5. The event features a wide range of participation from high-ranking government officials, leaders of global energy companies, experts, and decision-makers who are set to discuss the future of LNG and its critical role in global energy security and the transition towards more sustainable energy systems.

Several key issues are on the agenda for discussion, including the potential of artificial intelligence in the energy sector, the necessity of ongoing investment and innovation, as well as the indispensable role of natural gas in supporting human development, particularly in developing nations.

The UAE’s participation underscores its commitment to facilitating international dialogue on the future of energy, enhancing cooperation and strategic partnerships, as well as exchanging experiences and best practices in the LNG sector. This effort aims to achieve a balance between energy security requirements and sustainability and development goals.

On the sidelines of the conference, Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei and his accompanying delegation met with His Excellency Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs in Qatar. They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in energy fields and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

Subsequently, the minister and his delegation visited the exhibition accompanying the conference, where they explored the latest technologies and innovative solutions presented by a selection of participating Qatari and international companies. They were briefed on the latest projects and initiatives supporting energy security and sustainability.
