The UAE has secured a top-three position among the best countries in the world for living, as per a report by Henley & Partners.
Thanks to its appealing factors such as safety, the absence of income tax, and abundant opportunities for professionals and businesses, the nation jumped from fifth to tie for second place globally in the “Global Residence Program Index.” While Greece took the lead, the UAE shared second place with Italy and Switzerland.
The analysis was based on precise criteria, including international reputation, quality of life, tax systems, and the ease of entering countries without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
Dr. Christian H. Kaelin, Chairman of the organization, remarked that the results signify a pivotal moment, noting that the relative dominance of Europe is beginning to wane in favor of forward-looking countries like the UAE and Singapore. Both nations are employing intelligent strategies to attract international investors through clear policies and economic openness.
The report highlighted that the UAE’s rapid rise reflects its transformation into a global wealth hub, supported by regulatory flexibility and proactive engagement with investors.
Furthermore, the country achieved perfect scores in the “quality of life” category and ranked first in “tax efficiency,” alongside Monaco. Notably, the Maldives and Uruguay made significant appearances for the first time in the overall index.
It is important to mention that the annual ranking evaluates 40 leading programs out of 100 globally, with assessments conducted by elite experts in immigration, economics, and academia.
