Delivery schedules released by the American company Boeing indicate that four UAE airlines have received 15 new aircraft since the beginning of this year. This accounts for over 65% of the total 23 aircraft delivered by the company to carriers in the region, reflecting the ongoing expansion and fleet modernization plans of Emirati airlines, as well as their growing presence in global travel and freight markets.
According to the company’s data, the deliveries included four UAE carriers. Flydubai expanded its fleet by adding six new 737 MAX aircraft as part of its strategy to increase its destination network and connect more markets to Dubai, while maintaining high-quality services.
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, a key player in the aircraft leasing sector, received four 737 MAX planes, which bolsters its expanding portfolio of modern aircraft and enhances its capability to meet the demands of global airlines seeking greater energy efficiency and reduced emissions.
Emirates Airline acquired two 777 Freighters, enhancing its capabilities in the air cargo sector, which is witnessing an increased demand for swift and secure transportation of goods, especially as the company expands its operations globally, linking production and consumption centers through its extensive network.
In Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways continued its fleet modernization strategy by taking delivery of three 787-9 Dreamliners, known for their operational efficiency. This move enhances the travel experience for passengers on long-haul flights and contributes to operational sustainability by reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
