The Fujairah Creative City has entered into a collaborative agreement with the Fujairah Businesswomen Council, in line with the strategic vision of Fujairah aimed at fostering creativity and entrepreneurship while enhancing the role of women in economic development. The agreement was signed by Salem Marzouk Al-Hafiti, General Manager of the Fujairah Creative City, and Aisha Al-Jassim, Chairwoman of the Fujairah Businesswomen Council.
Salem Al-Hafiti explained that this agreement will provide businesswomen in Fujairah with the opportunity to establish their own enterprises and engage in investment activities both within and outside the emirate by issuing an “Entrepreneur License.” He highlighted that each entrepreneur will have the ability to choose a suitable business activity from over 300 listed economic activities recognized by the council, showcasing the diverse business opportunities available to them.
Additionally, Al-Hafiti announced the launch of an annual award for women entrepreneurs holding the “Entrepreneur License,” which aims to honor those who excel in their respective fields and to promote the entrepreneurial achievements they realize. This initiative is designed to acknowledge outstanding efforts and to highlight women’s capabilities in supporting the local and regional economy. He emphasized the importance of backing creative projects by women through consultations and training.
In her remarks, Aisha Al-Jassim stated that the agreement will provide an opportunity to leverage the available resources in the region to achieve leadership and innovation in the business sector. She praised the leadership’s role in creating a competitive and encouraging business environment for Emirati women and entrepreneurs through the development of initiatives and projects aimed at economically empowering women.
