The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, has successfully concluded its participation in the startup forum “Try Everything 25,” which recently took place in Seoul, South Korea.
During the event, the chamber held 86 bilateral meetings with startups, investment fund representatives, innovation ecosystem partners, and high-growth companies. The aim was to showcase the unique competitive advantages of Dubai’s digital business ecosystem, highlight promising partnerships, and opportunities available in various technological sectors. Additionally, they introduced key initiatives led by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, notably the “Business Attraction and Support Platform,” designed to aid digital companies in establishing their operations in Dubai or expanding into the emirate’s market. This platform offers a range of corporate and operational services, as well as a business matchmaking service to help companies find suitable partners, investors, and clients.
The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy supported the participation of seven Dubai-based digital startups at the forum. These companies conducted 140 meetings with potential partners and investors, facilitating their growth and expansion from Dubai. The participating startups included “ProcurHub,” focused on construction procurement, “Pharmedik,” specializing in digital health and genomics, “Seafood Market,” concentrating on sustainable seafood supply chains, “Kotron,” which utilizes AI in legal practices, “Sabi,” focusing on restaurant inventory management, “Circa Biotic,” working on biotechnology to convert waste into products, and “One Loyalty,” specializing in fintech solutions for rent payments.
During the forum, the chamber emphasized the promising opportunities presented by the “Expand North Star 2025” exhibition, the largest event for startups and investors, organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. This event is set to take place from October 12 to 15 at Dubai Harbour and serves as a prime platform for forming new business partnerships and attracting investments in startups.
The 2024 edition of “Expand North Star” saw participation from 152 companies from South Korea, an increase from 72 in 2023, indicating a growth of 111%. This demonstrates the significance of this event as a vital gateway for emerging digital businesses to form partnerships, attract investment, and enhance their presence in global markets.
