The Finance Department of Ajman convened its third regular leadership council meeting for the year 2025, presided over by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, the representative of the ruler for administrative and financial affairs and head of the department. The meeting was attended by Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, the general director of the department, along with several department heads, as part of their efforts to enhance financial performance and reinforce sound governance practices in the emirate.
The agenda included discussions on the recommendations from the previous meeting, updates on project developments up to the second quarter, and reviews of strategic directions and development plans for the upcoming phase. These initiatives aim to support the emirate’s vision of building an innovative and sustainable financial system that boosts Ajman’s competitiveness both locally and globally. Additionally, the meeting addressed recent updates in risk management and the implementation of the internal audit plan for this year, along with a review of the financial performance of the expenditure budget for the second quarter of 2025 and the strategic framework adopted by the department.
During the meeting, the department’s achievements were highlighted, with Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamid Al Nuaimi receiving several international awards in recognition of his continuous support for institutional excellence and government innovation within the emirate.
The department has achieved notable milestones, including receiving the Best Project Team award at the British Business Awards for the “Cloud Resources System” project, which serves as a comprehensive platform supporting governmental entities. It also secured a gold award for Best Website from the Global Excellence Awards for the “Supply Platform” project.
