Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Authority, presided over the graduation ceremony for 15 specialists who completed the “Data and Artificial Intelligence Competency Development Program” organized by the authority. The graduates showcased innovative projects that demonstrate their ability to utilize data and modern technologies to enhance digital transformation and improve government services in the emirate. During the ceremony, they presented distinctive projects that reflect their capabilities in creating technical solutions that support this digital evolution and enhance the efficiency and quality of public services.
Among the attendees at the ceremony honoring the first cohort of the program was Engineer Lemaiah Al Hossan Al Shamsi, Director of the Authority, along with Timour Ali Mir, a partner at PwC Middle East Academy and leader of professional qualifications at the academy, along with representatives from the participating government agencies.
The ceremony featured a review of three sets of innovative projects completed by the participants throughout the program, addressing key areas such as social and human development, urban infrastructure and city management, and security, economy, and natural resources. These projects embody Sharjah’s vision to foster a data-driven culture and support a sustainable digital transformation in the emirate.
Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi emphasized that the program reflects the authority’s commitment to building national competencies capable of leading digital integration and anticipating future needs. He praised the graduates’ achievements, which align with national priorities, stating: “Today, we celebrate the fruit of investing in human capital, which we believe is a solid path toward progress and excellence. The participants in the program have demonstrated their commitment to learning and application by presenting outstanding projects that illustrate their abilities to leverage artificial intelligence and data for public service and community benefit.
