ADNOC Logistics and Services PLC has announced the delivery of the LNG carrier named “Al Sudd,” which marks the fourth of six newly constructed vessels ordered from the Chinese shipyard Jiangnan. Following its timely delivery, the vessel is set to embark on its inaugural commercial voyage soon. The ceremony was attended by Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC Logistics and Services, and Fatima Al Naimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas, who had the honor of naming the ship as its sponsor.
Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi stated that the delivery of the “Al Sudd” underscores ADNOC Logistics and Services’ commitment to modernizing and expanding its fleet. Each new addition enhances the company’s ability to leverage growth opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and provide added value to shareholders, all while maintaining a strong focus on delivering comprehensive low-carbon maritime logistics services. Fatima Al Naimi expressed her excitement about the collaboration with ADNOC Logistics for the delivery of the advanced LNG carrier, which reflects their shared commitment to growth and operational excellence. This partnership also supports the development of the LNG berth project on Das Island, which will enhance the berth’s capacity to accommodate three of the largest vessels, each with a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters. This will allow for greater export flexibility and improve their ability to meet customer obligations, thereby increasing commercial value.
