In April 2025, hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi achieved a revenue of 847 million dirhams, with the earnings breakdown as follows: 540 million dirhams from room sales, 256 million dirhams from food and beverage services, and 51 million dirhams from other sources.
According to preliminary data from the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, published by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center, the emirate’s hotels welcomed approximately 531,000 guests in March 2025. This indicates an increased appeal of the emirate as a global tourist destination, supported by a variety of accommodation options and high service standards.
In March 2025, 172 hotel establishments accommodating visitors in Abu Dhabi provided a total of 34,383 rooms. The length of stays amounted to more than 1.52 million nights, achieving an occupancy rate of 87 percent, while the average revenue per available room was around 614 dirhams.
Visitors from non-Arab Asian countries topped the list with 149,000 guests, followed closely by European visitors at 148,000, and Emirati nationals at 97,000. This data reflects the ongoing growth of the tourism sector in the emirate, further establishing its status as a preferred destination for travelers from various global markets.
By hotel category, five-star hotels hosted the largest number of guests, totaling 265,000, with European tourists leading this group at 95,000. Four-star hotels accommodated 143,000 guests, three-star hotels and lower welcomed 63,000 guests, and 61,000 guests stayed in serviced apartments.
