The Dubai Chamber has entered into a memorandum of understanding with “Italia Camp,” an organization focused on innovation and social impact, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and expanding international trade relations between Dubai and Italy. This collaboration is expected to enhance bilateral trade and foster joint business endeavors.
The agreement was signed at the Dubai Chamber headquarters by Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of International Relations at the Dubai Chamber, and Lio Schisotta, General Director of “Italia Camp” for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Salem Al Shamsi remarked, “We are dedicated to facilitating international partnerships and collaborative efforts with various entities worldwide, underlining Dubai’s status as a leading global business hub. This initiative will bolster trade and investment flows between the emirate and emerging international markets, while presenting additional growth opportunities for our local business community.”
Lio Schisotta added, “Italia Camp operates as an international company with bases in both Italy and the UAE, serving as a platform for fostering strategic cooperation among institutions, companies, and innovation networks. Our memorandum with the Dubai Chamber reflects our commitment to promoting Italian excellence worldwide and establishing long-lasting partnerships with the UAE, which aligns with our values of innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness.”
According to the memorandum, both parties will collaborate to create new opportunities in several key areas. The Dubai Chamber will assist “Italia Camp” members who aim to establish a presence and invest in the emirate by offering strategic services and access to the business community to drive investment. This includes providing guidance on regulatory requirements and market entry strategies for Dubai.
The Dubai Chamber will also facilitate networking with prominent family-owned businesses in the emirate to explore potential partnerships, collaborative workshops, and student training initiatives. In turn, “Italia Camp” will support the members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the Dubai Chamber umbrella, in expanding their operations in Italy and facilitate communication and connections among businesses while offering support for pre- and post-expansion activities. The two parties will also work together on trade exhibitions, investment missions, conferences, and fairs.
This memorandum falls under the “Global Partnerships Program,” which enhances the Dubai Chamber’s efforts to attract foreign investments and expand the operations of local companies in promising international markets through collaboration with global service providers across eight commercial sectors, in alignment with the goals of the “Dubai Global” initiative to assist Dubai companies in exploring new business opportunities and attracting foreign direct investments.
