Dubai Chamber of Commerce Anticipates MoU with Dubai Community Contributions Foundation

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Community Contribution Foundation, known as “Jood,” with the aim of supporting local entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized enterprises focused on sustainability and social impact.

This agreement seeks to establish a strategic partnership aimed at fostering the growth and expansion of purpose-driven projects. The collaboration emphasizes the collection of private sector contributions and community donations exclusively through Jood’s website and application, which facilitate the management and distribution of these contributions in accordance with established governance and compliance frameworks.

Significant Step Forward

Maha Al Qaraqawi, the Deputy Director of Business Support at the Dubai Chambers, stated, “We are committed to fostering a business environment that allows purpose-driven projects to thrive. Our partnership with Jood represents a significant step towards establishing a comprehensive ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in Dubai. By linking impactful projects with essential funding and resources, we are equipping a new generation of entrepreneurs to tackle critical social and environmental challenges, enhancing Dubai’s status as a global hub for responsible business and directly contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).”

Marwan Rashid bin Hashim, CEO of the Dubai Community Contribution Foundation – Jood, remarked, “Through our digital platforms, we aim to provide transparent, accessible, and reliable channels to support initiatives and projects that genuinely meet community needs, enabling social entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into meaningful and sustainable impacts. This collaboration is part of our commitment to building a cohesive system that enhances partnerships between the community and the private sector, contributing to a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable economy, in alignment with the social agenda goals of Dubai 33 and the emirate’s vision for a future grounded in positive impact and sustainable development.”

Under this agreement, both parties will collaborate on relevant initiatives, facilitating access to opportunities that deliver positive social and environmental outcomes. The cooperation will also focus on encouraging stakeholder participation through coordinated efforts in communication and awareness-raising, along with the sharing of information and insights to promote transparency. By leveraging the resources and channels available to each party, they aim to raise awareness and support various initiatives. This MoU supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the emirate’s economy over the next decade. By enhancing the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, both the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and the Dubai Community Contribution Foundation – Jood are contributing to the creation of a more diverse, innovative, and sustainable economy, further solidifying Dubai’s leading global position in business and social impact.
