Dubai Customs welcomed a high-level delegation from the Sultanate of Oman in an official visit aimed at strengthening institutional connections and expanding collaborative efforts in customs, logistics, and technology. This initiative aligns with the rapid developments in global trade and supply chains.
The Dubai Customs delegation was led by Dr. Abdullah Bousnad, the Director General, accompanied by several executive directors. The Omani delegation was headed by Lieutenant Colonel Khalifa bin Talib bin Issa Al Masqari, the Director of Dhofar Customs, and included various officials specializing in information systems, free zones, and customs operations.
During the visit, a comprehensive coordination meeting was held to explore ways to enhance customs procedures and improve operational efficiency. The attendees reviewed several strategic projects and initiatives of mutual interest and examined best practices implemented at Dubai Customs, particularly in the areas of smart solutions, process automation, trade facilitation, and compliance with the highest global standards.
The two parties also discussed future cooperation opportunities in information systems, the development of free zones, and the adoption of advanced technologies in customs operations management, contributing to enhanced institutional readiness and supporting future requirements.
The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of the strong fraternal ties between the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, with both sides expressing commitment to continued coordination and collaboration that serves mutual interests and strengthens their positions as leading logistical and commercial hubs at regional and global levels.
