The Dubai World Trade Centre is set to host the “Breakbulk Middle East” exhibition and conference on February 4 and 5. This event will attract top representatives from global companies specializing in the planning and execution of complex shipping operations that support sectors such as energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, and mining.
The United Arab Emirates aims to showcase its status as a global logistics hub during this event.
Engineer Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Transport at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, stated, “Breakbulk Middle East serves as a pivotal platform to connect various stakeholders in the infrastructure, logistics, and energy sectors in the UAE, reflecting our national agenda to enhance the nation’s position as a global center for trade and specialized cargo shipments.”
He emphasized that the conference contributes to our efforts for more efficient supply chains, focusing on digital and sustainable solutions, which support long-term economic growth and align with our climate neutrality goals set for 2050.
The logistics sector continues to play a vital role in enhancing trade resilience, expediting infrastructure project implementation, and fostering competitiveness throughout the Middle East. Governments are making significant investments to support massive project execution and solidify the region’s position as a key player in global trade.
In terms of ports, Dubai has been ranked among the top five global maritime centers and the leading one in the Arab world, according to the International Shipping Centers Development Index for 2025, reinforcing its strategic role in global commerce.
