Emirates Airlines has garnered a fresh set of awards this month, including accolades for “Best International Airline,” “Best First Class on an International Airline,” and “Best Airport Lounge for an International Airline.” These honors were presented during the annual Forbes Travel Guide awards that assess air travel quality, alongside numerous prestigious distinctions from international organizations such as the World Travel Awards, Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards, and Condé Nast Readers’ Awards.
For the second consecutive year, Emirates Airlines has been recognized as the “Best International Airline” by 9,000 travel experts and certified inspectors from Forbes Travel Guide, following its star rating evaluation system.
According to Forbes magazine, the airline’s success is attributed to its continuous efforts to enhance every aspect of the travel experience. Recently, Emirates launched an exclusive luxurious check-in area similar to a first-class lounge for first-class members and Skywards Platinum members. Additionally, it has become the first airline globally to receive certification for support services for passengers with autism spectrum disorder, training over 30,000 of its staff to provide the necessary assistance to these travelers.
Emirates also secured the title of “Best Airline for Long-Haul Travel” at the Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards 2025, based on the votes of over 900,000 readers.
The newspapers praised Emirates’ cabin crew service and the luxury level in its first-class suites, which feature opulent bathrooms aboard their aircraft, in addition to their spacious A380 fleet.
Moreover, Emirates has continued to expand its network this year, adding five new destinations, including Shenzhen in southern China and Siem Reap, which serves as the gateway to the Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia.
The airline achieved a score of 87.86 in the Best Airline category at the Condé Nast Readers’ Awards and claimed the title of leading airline brand in the Middle East at the regional qualifiers of the World Travel Awards 2025.
As the world’s largest operator of first-class cabins, Emirates provides 26,800 first-class seats weekly, all of which are fully enclosed private suites. In the Forbes Travel Guide awards, Emirates won “Best First Class on an International Airline” for its suite aboard the Boeing 777-300ER, which the magazine described as embodying luxury at its finest. Furthermore, Emirates received the award for “Best Airport Lounge for an International Airline” from Forbes for its first-class lounge in Dubai.
In the World Travel Awards 2025, Emirates obtained several additional awards recognizing its first-class services, including the leading first-class airline in the Middle East and the first-class airport lounge in the Middle East.
Turbulence Management
On another front, Emirates Airlines has adopted a proactive, data-driven approach to minimize the impact of turbulence on passenger experience by planning smoother and safer flights, especially amid increasing challenges posed by turbulence occurrences globally.
The airline has implemented a multi-layered strategy combining diverse data sources with advanced analytical techniques to provide real-time and accurate information regarding turbulence. This methodology has contributed to a reduction in unexpected severe turbulence incidents across Emirates’ flight network, supported by initiatives launched last year to enhance the experience of both passengers and crew on board.
Captain Hassan Hamadi, Senior Vice President of Emirates’ Flight Operations, stated, “We recognize that turbulence presents an ongoing challenge that cannot be completely avoided. However, we are committed to doing everything possible to reduce sudden encounters with it by collaborating with partners who share our vision of leveraging advanced technology and artificial intelligence to improve operations.”
He added, “While we cannot guarantee completely turbulence-free flights, these initiatives have significantly reduced unexpected and severe cases over the past year, making travel safer and more comfortable for our customers. Through our multi-layered approach and collaboration with meteorological forecasting partners and modern technologies, we actively contribute valuable data and insights to the global aviation sector as we all work to tackle this growing challenge.”
