Emirates Airlines Expands to 22 Destinations Within China

Emirates Airlines Signs Interline Agreement with Long Air

Emirates Airlines has recently entered into an interline agreement with Long Air, a move that reinforces its presence in China and provides customers with access to additional cities within the country alongside its existing destinations.

Increased Access to Chinese Destinations

Customers of Emirates Airlines now benefit from access to 22 destinations across China served by Long Air, including Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. These locations span multiple regions, covering East, Northeast, South, Central, and Southwest China.

Seamless Travel Experience

The agreement facilitates the booking of multi-leg journeys on a single ticket, featuring a unified baggage policy and consistent fare conditions throughout the entire trip, ensuring a smooth and integrated travel experience. This expansion allows Emirates to enhance its network within China, supporting air connectivity for both leisure and business travelers while providing convenient access to major inland hubs such as Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang, and Dazhou.

Commitment to the Chinese Market

The signing of the interline agreement with Long Air reflects Emirates’ ongoing commitment to the Chinese market. Last year, the airline launched services to two new destinations, Shenzhen and Hangzhou, while also bolstering its offerings with the introduction of award-winning premium economy class on these routes and the reintroduction of the iconic Airbus A380 for flights to Shanghai.

Operational Overview

Emirates Airlines has been serving mainland China since 2004 and currently operates flights to five major cities with a total of 49 weekly flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou. The airline employs a combination of Airbus A380, Airbus A350, and Boeing 777 aircraft.

In addition to Long Air, Emirates has partnered with China Southern Airlines, Air China, and Sichuan Airlines, allowing its customers to access over 110 destinations within China in conjunction with Emirates’ own network through its five existing gateways.
