The Dubai Chamber is exploring ways to strengthen trade and investment relations with Cyprus through a visit from a delegation led by Stavros Stavrou, the head of the Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Both parties affirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering partnerships between the business communities of Dubai and Cyprus.
During the meeting, attended by Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Chamber, discussions focused on advancing bilateral trade, identifying mutual investment opportunities, and expanding collaborative channels to stimulate business growth between companies in Dubai and their counterparts in Cyprus.
Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah stated: “We are dedicated to strengthening economic ties between Dubai and Cyprus and elevating the level of mutual trade and investment cooperation to serve our shared interests. We aim to establish sustainable strategic partnerships that support the growth of bilateral trade and open new opportunities for the business community, while also enabling Cypriot companies to leverage the competitive advantages Dubai offers as a leading global platform for accessing regional and international markets.”
This visit comes at a time when the attractiveness of Dubai for Cypriot companies and investors is on the rise. In 2025, 101 new Cypriot companies joined the Dubai Chamber, bringing the total number of active Cypriot firms in the chamber’s membership to 639 by the end of last year, marking a 17.7% annual increase. The value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Cyprus reached approximately 588 million dirhams in 2024.
Additionally, the Dubai Chamber recently launched the Cypriot Business Council to further enhance collaboration between the business sectors of Dubai and Cyprus, solidify bilateral trade and investment relations, and stimulate partnerships across various industries.
