Emirates SkyCargo Expands Its Presence in Europe

Emirates SkyCargo is enhancing its position as one of the leading air freight providers globally, with a particular focus on the European market, known for its vibrancy and extensive operational network.

The airline operates 38 cargo flights and 538 passenger flights to Europe each week, ensuring swift and efficient movement of cargo shipments between Europe and various regions worldwide. In the previous fiscal year, Emirates SkyCargo transported approximately 6,900 tons of goods from Europe each week, significantly contributing to international trade flows.

Emirates flights offer substantial operational capacity for transporting various types of cargo, particularly high-value and time-sensitive shipments such as pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, electronics, fresh food, and cross-border e-commerce goods.

This extensive reach demonstrates Emirates SkyCargo’s ability to meet the demands of European markets effectively, leveraging Dubai’s strategic position as a global hub linking East and West, which facilitates access to a broad range of regional and international markets.

This expansion aligns with ambitious plans to modernize and increase the cargo fleet, as Emirates SkyCargo is set to receive up to 10 new Boeing 777 freighter aircraft by December 2026, while continuing to acquire modern passenger planes.

These additions are expected to enhance the airline’s operational capacity and support its expansion into new destinations while maintaining high levels of operational efficiency and reliability. As part of its ongoing growth in Europe, Emirates has announced the launch of new flights to Helsinki, Finland, starting in October 2026, further bolstering its presence in the northern part of the continent and creating additional opportunities for air cargo by utilizing the available capacity in passenger aircraft cargo holds.

The new route is anticipated to stimulate trade between Northern European nations and global markets, providing more flexible and faster logistical options for businesses and exporters. These initiatives reaffirm Emirates SkyCargo’s commitment to delivering world-class services to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of global trade.
