Fujairah Airport Showcases Projects That Enhance Digital Transformation at GITEX 2025

Fujairah International Airport is showcasing two innovative projects at GITEX Global 2025 as part of the Fujairah Government’s digital pavilion, reflecting its vision to enhance operational processes and improve service efficiency.

This participation aligns with the Fujairah Government’s efforts to promote digital transformation and supports the Emirate’s objectives for a smart and sustainable infrastructure.

The first initiative is an Integrated Airport Management System aimed at boosting operational efficiency through cutting-edge automation and intelligent data analytics. This system is expected to enhance safety, accuracy, and expedite operational procedures.

The second project involves the utilization of drones to support aviation operations and logistics services. This advanced technology will be employed for airport area surveillance, inspection processes, and faster, more sustainable transportation of parcels and goods, thereby preparing the airport for the future of smart air transport.

During the exhibition, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Fujairah International Airport and trackiT, establishing a strategic partnership to implement artificial intelligence technologies for asset and equipment tracking within the airport.

This collaboration aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve asset visibility, and advance the digital transformation aligned with the future trends of the aviation industry.

Additionally, Fujairah International Airport participated in organizing an interactive contest for visitors, launched by the Fujairah Government’s finance department. The airport facilitated the Q&A platform and offered attractive prizes, including free flight tickets from Fujairah to Mumbai.

Captain Ismail Mohammed Al Blooshi, the Director General of Fujairah International Airport, expressed pride in representing the Fujairah Government’s digital pavilion at GITEX 2025. He highlighted the airport’s innovations and technical projects that align with the country’s digital transformation and support Fujairah’s ambitions for a smart and sustainable ecosystem.

He added that this participation is a unique opportunity to showcase the airport’s efforts in creating a smart working environment through the employment of modern technologies, including AI and drones, to achieve higher operational efficiency and better user experiences.
