The Ministry of Economy and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, is organizing the second edition of the National Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises – Government Procurement 2026, scheduled to take place on January 27 and 28 in Dubai. This event will see participation from over 90 federal and local entities, as well as national companies, including the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. Senior officials and procurement directors will also be present, alongside a significant number of entrepreneurs from the UAE.
The forum is part of the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises, aimed at enhancing the readiness of UAE-based companies to compete for contracts and tenders from federal, local, and national businesses that will be presented during the event. This initiative is expected to bolster opportunities for these companies to secure bids, contributing to the growth of national entrepreneurship and reinforcing the UAE’s status as a leading hub for business and emerging projects on both regional and global levels.
The forum will feature several sessions discussing the developments in the government procurement system in the country, improving spending efficiency, and expanding the participation of UAE small and medium enterprises. It will also highlight digital transformation initiatives and simplify procedures for joining and entering government tenders. Additionally, the forum will facilitate practical dialogues between government entities and project owners.

During the forum, new initiatives will be announced aimed at empowering small and medium enterprises in government procurement, alongside training programs and specialized workshops covering topics like government procurement, proposal preparation, pricing, and contract finalization. Outstanding entities, directors, and entrepreneurs will also be honored, culminating in the announcement of outcomes and recommendations to enhance the contribution of this vital sector to the national economy, building a competitive and sustainable economy rooted in knowledge and innovation.
